Technology plays a critical role in supporting teaching, learning, communication, and innovation across our district. Our mission is to create safe, reliable, and forward-thinking learning environments that empower students and staff to explore, create, collaborate, and succeed in an ever-changing digital world.
Everything we do is guided by three core pillars: Customer Service, Efficiency, and Innovation. Whether we are supporting classrooms, maintaining infrastructure, protecting student data, deploying devices, or exploring emerging technologies, our focus remains on delivering exceptional service while creating opportunities for meaningful learning experiences.
We believe technology should enhance creativity, encourage problem-solving, promote digital citizenship, and provide equitable access to opportunities for every student. As we continue to evolve and innovate, student safety and learning remain at the center of every decision we make.

What We Do
The New Bedford Public Schools Technology and Learning Department supports more than devices and networks. We help create the conditions for teaching, learning, communication, and innovation to thrive across our district.
Our team is responsible for maintaining the technology systems that keep schools running every day, including network infrastructure, cybersecurity, telecommunications, classroom technology, software applications, and student and staff devices. We work closely with educators, administrators, students, and families to ensure technology is reliable, secure, and accessible.
Through our districtwide 1:1 device program, students have access to the tools they need to learn, create, collaborate, and explore both inside and outside the classroom. We also support emerging technologies, professional learning opportunities, and digital citizenship initiatives that prepare students for success in an increasingly connected world.
Guided by our pillars of Customer Service, Efficiency, and Innovation, we strive to provide responsive support, implement effective solutions, and continuously look for ways to improve the learning experience for all students and staff.
Behind every device, network connection, software platform, and support ticket is a dedicated team of technology professionals committed to keeping our district connected, secure, and ready for learning.
