Summer Food Service Program
Nutritious Meals for Every Child, All Summer Long.
The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) provides free meals and snacks to children and teens age 18 and under during the summer months when school is not in session. Meals are available at schools, parks, community centers, and other neighborhood locations, ensuring children continue to have access to nutritious food when school meals are unavailable. In partnership with New Bedford Parks, Recreation & Beaches, we provide meals at sites across the city throughout the summer, helping ensure all children have access to nutritious food when school is out. In some rural communities, meal pick-up or delivery options may also be available.
