We are excited to begin this wonderful learning journey with you and your child. Our goal is to create a safe, caring, and fun environment where every child feels welcome, makes new friends, and discovers the joy of learning. Together, we will build the foundation for a successful and happy school experience!

Prepare For Your Child’s Registration

 

  1. Schedule an appointment.
  2. Bring your child to the appointment, arriving 10 minutes early.
  3. Have with you:
    • Child’s birth certificate
    • Parent/guardian photo ID
    • Two proofs of New Bedford address
    • Child’s immunization records and latest physical
    • Any court or custody documents, if applicable

​​​​​​Sending your child to Kindergarten is a very special time – what can you do to prepare your child for Kindergarten

- Visit your local library, and display the books you read together at home.

- Practice the following skills with your child:

* Asking for help

* Sharing and taking turns

* Following routines and simple directions

* Writing first and last name

* Rote counting to 10, and counting 10 objects

* Identifying colors, shapes, numbers, and letters

- Limit screen time (TV, video games, phone, tablet, etc.) to one hour per weekday and three hours on weekend days
