In 1997, Valedictorian Emerson Wong's speech noted the importance of nurturing the love of learning, saying there is no room in an intellectual’s mind for boredom. Since graduating, Emerson attended Columbia University's School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. During his studies, he became involved in multiple Internet startup ventures, the most successful of which became a leading mobile gaming and entertainment provider in the early dawn of the smartphone era before iPhones existed.
Since then, Emerson has continued to be involved with technology, such as via his consulting work with various fintech companies. Having lived in NYC, Las Vegas, LA, and a few places in between, he has gotten to see and know the country as a whole and gained an appreciation for the many different viewpoints that make up the United States.
When time permits, Emerson is committed to physical fitness, music production, photography, and other creative pursuits. He leads a Vegan lifestyle and enjoys downtime with his pets, as well as family time and assisting his mother with animal rescue efforts.
