COLLEGE REPRESENTATIVE VISITS
NBHS welcomes college admissions representatives to visit during the school day throughout the fall. Interested juniors and seniors may sign up to receive a pass for the visit. All visits will take place in the NBHS College & Career Center, unless otherwise noted. To register, use this link, and be sure to sign up at least two school days prior to a visit. Students will need to complete a registration for each college, and only students with passes will be admitted to the visit. To assist students in learning more, upcoming visits are listed below. SAVE THE DATE: FALL COLLEGE FAIR
On Tuesday, October 15, from 6-8 pm, NBHS will host a college fair for all interested high school students and their families! The event is open to students who attend NBHS, Whaling City, and Trinity Day Academy AS WELL AS high school students from nearby schools and communities. Join us in the gym to connect with college admissions representatives and military recruiters to learn about YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY! Wondering who will be there? COMMUNITY COLLEGE IS NOW FREE IN MASSACHUSETTS!--no matter your age or you income!
Community college is now FREE in Massachusetts thanks to MassEducate! No tuition and no fees!
To be eligible for MassEducate, you must:
*Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
(If you are not eligible to complete the FAFSA and are an approved “High School Completer” under the Massachusetts tuition equity law, you can complete the Massachusetts Application for State Financial Aid (MASFA) and still attend for free.)
*Apply to your local community college and enroll in an approved program of study. Applications are open all year long and there’s never an application fee.
*Have physically resided in Massachusetts for at least one year, as of the start of your first enrolled term.
*Have earned a high school diploma or the equivalent
*Are enrolled in at least six credits (usually two classes) per semester in an approved program of study leading to an associate degree or certificate.
*Maintain satisfactory academic progress in accordance with the college’s requirements.

Early College Enrollment
Enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year has closed. Students in grades 9 and 10 who are interested in joining Early College should email
[email protected]. A staff member will follow up with students directly.
Early College provides students with the opportunity to take college courses during the junior and senior years of high school. Students who participate for two years will be eligible to earn at least 12 college credits at no cost. This program is designed to provide support to students while in high school to increase college enrollment and persistence after graduation. More information is available on the
